Caught this northern bouncing a crank bait off the bottom with the Lews Carbon fire speed stick medium heavy moderate the one designed for crank baits I thought I was hung up at first then I felt a little tug so I started reeling and I was like omg my drag is too low so I turned up my drag a little bit and the fight was one it was over 7.5 pounds and it busted a hole in my net and broke one of my treble hooks but finally caught a big northern after trying for like over a year now
