I was casting a plopper 110 nearly to the bank and steady retrieving over top of laydowns to get bites. I was also able to get a few smallmouth early on using the 110 Plopper near steep dropoffs with rocky bottoms.

Caught a handful of dinks, smallmouth and largemouth. Then a nicer one of each as well before we left. Water was chilly, pretty murky water for the most part. Lot of rain the past few days so everything’s kinda swamped. Fairly sunny, bit of wind. Hit almost all of em in some pretty thick stuff. Got my first pike too, a fish is a fish, I was pumped. He was prowling around a bunch of crappie cribs. Same lure the entire day on two lakes.
