TechniqueBuzzbaitsSeasonSummerStructureRiver ChannelsFished Wisconsin River going into Rainbow Flowage. Air temp 77 F, water temp 73, full sun, fished 1:30 pm. to 4:30 p.m. about two miles of river. Water extremely low, very few deep holes. Buzzbait was only bait I could fish effectively over shallow weeds in river. Black was successful, but only 5 fish, 4 smallmouth, 1 northern. Nothing of size. Fish were in breaks of current behind rocks, very dark colored bass. I am thinking most of fish have moved into the flowage due to low water.

Crappie
TechniqueIce Fishing SpoonsSeasonIceStructureRiver ChannelsThe big crappies are biting! Find a section of river channel with wood nearby and they should come rolling through. We found fish in 14-16 feet and when they would come through they were very agressive and took no hesitation to get to bite.
