I almost caught a striped bass on the river near some rocks. About two feet from the shore, it got off. I was thrilled to be able to at least try to reel it in though. Pulling up on curves on the river with points not steep drop offs but the curves with a point whether it was a long tapered point or a short wide point and would throw accross keeping a steady retrieve with a twitch here and there to a pause then repeat.
