Lots of strikes and brought over 20 into the kayak on Texas & wacky rigged senkos plus 5" grubs on 1/16 oz jighead; (several were in the 2.5 lb range). Lost the biggest bass of the day (3+) when it surged under the kayak & the line snapped due to user error (I caught several fish w/o retying ... retie often).

Checked several shore spots around the south, west and north sides of the pond and found two areas where bass were working schools of shiners. Used weight-less Texas-rigged senko to trigger bass. Would cast to area where bass were busting shiners, let bait fall, if no takers on initial fall, worked senko back using a twitching retrieve just like a soft jerkbait. Had numerous hits, connecting and landing seven for a pretty nice shore fishing trip.

Lots of bass hang around the numerous lay downs scattered at various locations along shoreline. Texas rig a 5" green pumpkin or watermelon unweighted Senko and closely watch line. Bass often grab bait as falling the head off to deeper water.
