Looking for post spawn or staging fish. Found clumps of developing cabbage, this is where the concentrations of fish were. Vast schools of panfish were basically everywhere off the dropoffs and spawning...it was a very tough bite. Ended up catching 25 or so bass. Nothing over 2.75 lbs. I think this would be a fun lake in summer peak timeframe fishing deep weedlines.

WalleyeTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSummerStructurePointsLong line trolling at .9 MPH on 13 - 15 feet - over cabbage. Keitech 4 inch easy shiner on a 1/8th oz VMC darter head jig. In 4 hours caught 50 plus fish - 8 species Walleye, LM bass, SM bass, Pike, Crappie, Perch etc. Great technique this time of year on north central , MN lakes. Super for kids as constant action and never know what is bending the rod. Keitech soft plastics work as well if not better vs live bait.
