Fish were holding tight to cover on lay downs . Ned rig worked well to pitch up near them to get bites. The biggest fish came when the lay downs were met with rocky or rip rap shoreline. If you manage to not get hung up in the lay down there will be fish there.

Smallmouth are targeting crawfish and bluegill. Football head jigs and shallow crankbaits have worked well especially on rocks and boulders.

Fish had a tough time getting the teckel in their mouth and would not comeback for another shot at it or any follow up baits. Lots of dinks on the flashy swimmer but it did get big fish of the day at 4.60lbs.

Water is very low but has made the water in the rum very clear. Not much current but fish are sitting near current breaks and on boulders.
