Fishing has been good at Sand Hollow. Fishing a drop shot or ned rig is almost always effective. Bigger fish have been crushing a slow rolled spinnerbait in deeper water.

The bass are sitting 30 feet deep of the large sand stone ledges. They are biting like crazy! Go get em!

Fishing has continued to stay very good. Fish have moved up a little in the 20 to 25 foot range. Slow rolling a spinnerbait or a 3.8 keitech fat swing impact on a fish head underpin hat been extremely effective. Play around with weight on the jig heads. Sometimes they want it to fall slow and hit it as it's falling. Sometimes they want the bait slow rolled just above the grass. Also, play around with bait size. 3.8 catches more fish, but 4.8 catches bigger fish.

The water level at Sand Hollow is low for this time of year. Look for schools of bluegill in water depths between 15 and 25 feet. The grass is tall throughout the lake so running a small swimbait along the top of the grass has been very productive. Early morning and evening has been really good.

The fish are hiding in the grass on the bottom of the lake. Fish Ned rig really slow on top of the grass. The bite is subtle. Find the fish in 20’ of water around the island.

a Carolina Rig is a really good bait for me almost year round offshore at sand hollow. a lot of people throw a drop shot and although that gets bit, I have found Carolina Rig can get a couple extra bites or a bigger bite. Fish in 20-30 feet around the two dams or any offshore grass and rock transitions.

Use the rocky bottom to your advantage! bouncing a ned off the rocks gave me most of my bites. hope it along the bottom, the tapping of the ned head on rocks I think was the most productive.
