First time fishing the lake was a Saturday derby. I did some pre fishing work, looking at Navionics and seeing a few obvious points. I was surprised to see that everyone blew past the first initial point right as you come out of the channel heading into the main lake. Its a sand bar that drops to about 18 ft. Dragging a shaky head produced the biggest bites, but I was also able to catch fish on a drop shot with a wacky rig. I did run around with a jig flipping docks, and a buzz bait for in-between them. Caught plenty of fish here as well. Baitfuel was a key player as well. Although initially I would assume it was gimmicky, I did get more numbers, and more definitive bites, when applied! Its a fun lake plenty of fish to be caught. I had in the mid 14 lb range and got 4th. Winning bag was just shy of 18lbs.

Weather was beautiful, caught around 50 bass. The bass that were under docks were very small. Moved out to 10 fow with submerged vegetation and found some bigger bass schooled up. They couldn't resist the chatter bait and the Yamamoto fat ika on the drop shot!
