Largemouth BassTechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationCaught some fish on a 1/4 oz bama swim jig in a bluegill pattern. Also caught some fish on a 1/2 oz dirty jigs Scott Canterbury flipping jig. Fish were relating to submerged grass and wood. Used a yum craw chunk of a xzone muscle back finesse craw in green pumpkin as a trailer for both the swim jig and flipping jig.

Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBrush PilesFish were very shallow!!! Winds were strong and fish were deep in the brush. Throwing a slobber knocker with mini swammer in to the brush as deep in as you could get it and begin reeling right away to try and not get stuck. Spinnerbait worked also as tight as you could get it. In the back of the fingers the mega swammer did work right off shore. Wind swept shore lines were the best but some fish were had on points where wind swept around it too.

Largemouth BassTechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureLaydownsWe hit the middle arm of Sangchris last weekend. The water temp at the boat ramp on the east side was 60 degrees but down the middle arm it was between 70 and 72 in most areas. I caught a 3 and a 3.5 pounder. The 3 lb bass was caught on a black and blue Motley Fishing Pitching Jig and the 3.5 lber was caught texas rigging a googan krackin craw in okechobee color. The bite is definitely starting to turn on! Check out the video below of the catches and see more on this lake and other central IL lakes on my youtube channel 217 Bassin! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d95oR_DspA8

CrappieTechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonWinterStructureBrush PilesCrappie can be found on brush piles and around rocks in the winter months at sangchris. I like brushpile jigs in black and chartreuse or a tube style jig in white and chartreuse. I put them on a 1/16oz plain jig head.
