Largemouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureDocksAround the riprap next to docks working the bait slower bumping the rocks along the bottom, scooting across like a crawdad or baitfish using a medium power 7’ rod with a parabolic bend to keep them pinned on the treble hooks is the way I caught them.

Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureFlooded BrushWe had a cold front to come through. We had just had two days of continuous rain. The water was high and dirty but the fish were still spawning.

Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureReedsSpring spawn is a great time to hit Shearon Harris. The bugs will be close to the bank and give you a shot at a PB. Cover some water and find the sawgrass that has 3-4 ft of water in front of it. Flip that senko and hang on. Good luck.

CatfishTechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureOpen Water/BasinI was out on the water all day on the water for a bass fishing tournament. I was throwing at open water because there were schools of fish hanging out at the 15ft to 25ft depth. I tossed this jig with a Zoom finesse worm (watermelon) as a trailer, this guy hit it about 3 seconds after it was in the water.

Largemouth BassTechniqueShakey HeadsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructurePointsHad a chance to get out on Shearon Harris this weekend for our SlayNation Tournament season opener! Secondary points seem to be the deal right now! & we caught our fish dragging shaky heads over em! Marked some biggins in about 25’ of water, but no bites!

Largemouth BassTechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructurePointsFirst time on Shearon Harris. Fun lake. Very different than most in NC given abundance of bulrush on shoreline. Had cloudy skies with temps in low 70s and light to no breeze. Water was stained with visibility of 18-24” and temps from 48-54 degrees. Bass seemed to be stacked from the front of creek mouths to maybe half way back. Suspended offshore, mid-column in 8-15 feet of water. All of our bites came on crankbaits.
