On July 17, '22: Water temp 81 degrees. Mostly sunny, and calm. We fished a club tournament here and the tip from the winner was to throw a chatterbait near the submerged weeds. I caught a 3lb fish and a decent keeper right away with a black Berkley Choppo. Topwater like that or buzzbaits caught fish right away, then the topwater bite died off. The thicker greener weeds in this lake only seem to grow out to 5-6ft of water. I didn't find a pattern for the day, just seemed to catch each fish on a different technique using dark colors or white lures. I mostly worked a jig, skipping under a dock, flipping weed clumps, or swimming between clumps of weeds. Also punching the topped out weeds in 3-4 ft of water with a 5/8 to 3/4 oz craw or crawtube caught a few.

2 baits got it done for us. Mid July, hot day and absolutely no wind. All fish were caught either flipping Texas Rig along reeds and thick weed clumps or swimming a chatter bait along/between those same weed clumps.
