Northern PikeTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationEnded up going to one of my favorite lakes in New York to target some bass on a milfoil weed edge I found during a tournament with my 1.25oz jackhammer to crank over the top of. I let it tick the top of the grass and would snap it out of it periodically on my third cast, I ended up catching this beautiful pike that I thought was an absolute slaunch when it came to the boat. Fun fight with this toothy gator!

Ended up losing a couple of good fish this today as well as losing the palm plate to my frog rod in the lake. Ended up flipping the bugpee into the holes of eel grass/ coontail mix to pick up a couple of key fish. This one broke my PB and weighed in just around 5.75lbs, an absolute slaunch for NY!!
