TechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonFallStructureLedgesBite has been tough the past few weeks. Water Temps fell below 70 deg starting this past weekend and now the bite is getting better. Megabass jerkbaits have been the hot bait this week. St. Croix 6 foot 10 inch med fast tip is my favorite rod for throwing jerkbaits. Paired with the Daiwa Zillion it's a very nice combo.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonFallStructureRock PileNice smallmouth for this lake. Caught on a drop shot using Xzone deception worm. Bass love these worms. St. Croix Legend tournament spinning rod paired with a Shimano vanford 2500 reel is a sweet setup and is one of my favorite rigs for finesse fishing. Great balance and sensitivity.

TechniqueShakey HeadsSeasonSummerStructurePointsLate summer here in Massachusetts, the bite has been slow as bass prepare for the fall feed. Strike King rage bug and creature baits seam to be the only ones getting quality bites. When you do get a bite, it's usually a decent fish you have hooked. This fish in the photo is a 4.10 oz caught on a Strike King rage bug.

TechniqueNeko RigsSeasonSummerStructurePointsBite has been slow the last week or so. I caught this one using a neko rig using the VMC Crossover Ring. I used a big 11" Xzone floating worm to get this bite. Love the VMC Crossover Ring. You can position your hook two different ways to fit your fishing technique.

TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationCaught this nice largemouth (3lbs. 5oz) on a Zman jackhammer 3/8th oz. chatterbait using a paddle tail for a trailer. Rod is a St.Croix Legend Elite casting rod paired with Daiwa tatula elite casting reel 7.1. Great combo for cranking. I'm really impressed with the Daiwa tatula elite casting reel. I think it's the best reel in that price range.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationCaught this one (3lbs 4oz) on a drop shot in submerged vegetation. The rod and reel set-up I'm using is perfect for finesse fishing. Nice combo for the price range. Really like the Vmc spin shot hooks. Keeps your line from twisting when using drop shot and keeps your bait in perfect position.
