The Dobyns extreme casting rod is a really nice rod for cranking. Paired with the Daiwa zillion casting reel it's one of my favorite setups. Spro rock crawler 55 diving crankbait is awesome for this job.

The rod and reel set-up I'm using is perfect for finesse fishing. Nice combo for the price range. Really like the Vmc spin shot hooks. Keeps your line from twisting when using drop shot and keeps your bait in perfect position.

Caught this nice largemouth (3lbs. 5oz) on a Zman jackhammer 3/8th oz. chatterbait using a paddle tail for a trailer. Rod is a St.Croix Legend Elite casting rod paired with Daiwa tatula elite casting reel 7.1. Great combo for cranking. I'm really impressed with the Daiwa tatula elite casting reel. I think it's the best reel in that price range.

Strike King rage bug and creature baits seam to be the only ones getting quality bites. When you do get a bite, it's usually a decent fish you have hooked. This fish in the photo is a 4.10 oz caught on a Strike King rage bug.
