Beat the water from 4:00-6:00pm with swim jigs, frogs and topwater baits to no avail. Switched to a wacky rig presentation and nailed 9 in the final 2 hours of fishing 6-8 pm. Pond seems to have changed in that all my "go to" spots are dead this year and everywhere that never produced are the hotspots this year.

Same old story on this lake, got a couple on a Berkley Chopo size t5 in golden shiner but the hits were few and far between.Switched to the ole reliable Yum Dinger 5" in Bama Magic and it was game on. Most fish came on drop offs near weedlines. best was 2.8

Fished around 9pm to midnight on the new moon. Saw and heard a lot of fish breaking the surface. I think they were mostly bluegills and perch feeding on insects. I only got one bass on a topwater. The bite was generally slow as only 3 fish were hooked and only 2 landed. The biggest was 20" long.
