Largemouth BassTechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSummerStructureBaitfishNoticed a real change after 2+ inches of rain. The bigger bass totally shut down. Fished 6am-10:30 caught 3. One 4 pounder the other 2s. Monday evening fished 4:30-9pm. Only bites were on Pumpkinseed lizard w/ chartreuse tail on a #5 Gamakatsu using 12lb line. Switched it up around the edges throwing a Popping frog, hooked 2 good 1s but managed to loose them due to poor hookset. I figure nighttime with some big 6” shinners will do wonders. Gonna try in a few days. Be safe out there and wear you vests and keep a throwable flotation device in you boat no matter what!! Godbless.

Largemouth BassTechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSummerStructureBrush PilesThe shad are still schooling in large pods early in the morning 6-9am. Follow those around and throw the frog around the edges of the shad. The bass are 2 to 4 pounds on average but those 8 pounders are there hanging 5-7feet down. They’ll come up for a bigger bait. Use heavy line— say 17-25 pound. There is alot of brush no visible. Good luck. I lost a 8+ last Thursday. The overcast helps I believe!!
