Water temps were 80-83 when I was out last on 10/30/22. The transition has started and all the fish are chasing bait like crazy. I targeted most of my fish in 6-10ft of water with a drop shot around submerged timber. There’s not much to catching Squaw Creek fish so if you’ve only got to bring 1 rod I highly recommend a drop shot. You will 1000% get bit on any bank you pull up to.

Didn’t have the option for the bait I used but I hammered them on the Googan flat banger. Caught multiple fish on the frittside 5 as well, but ended up breaking all mine off. My brother caught several on a Spinnerbait in a fire tiger/perch type color. Landed in 2nd place with 13.12lbs. Biggest fish was 3.61lbs. Nothing big but a ton of fun. Caught most of them upriver on a rocky bank with a lot of standing trees. Caught a few more including my biggest by the dam on a riprap bank
