Tried some larger ones, but what really seemed to hit were a couple Rapala X-Raps fished like jerkbaits. I was in Olive Green and my dad in Rusty Crawdad (red-orange). He pulled in more then me with that color and/or his style of fishing, but we were pretty close to each other. After a couple hours, we'd caught 12-15 fish between 1.5 and 3 lbs.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureOpen Water/BasinGot a handful under around 1.5 lbs. Still not a great day from past trips, but the bass are there. Tried chatterbaits, shakeyhead with a couple different worms and a lizard, some swim jigs, and even a top-water mouse (I've seen'm go after baby nutrias which are around this time of year.), but only had luck with a minnow dropshot.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureBaitfishBetween 6 and 10 AM, landed 12 Largemouth between 1.5 and 2.75 lbs in the shallows. Watch for scattering baitfish on the surface and not in, but around schools of perch nibbling at your drop shot. Caught a couple with chatterbait with a paddletail trailer as well.
