Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationCaught about a dozen on a short day, they were really hanging around the edge of grass. Jack hammer was the keys to getting those bites!

Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationHad to work hard to find green weeds remaining in the late fall. Once I found them, I found the bass. There were strong winds and waves that were blowing the bait fish. Almost all chunky bass caught were caught on the shore the wind was pounding.

Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationFished here for the first time. Top water bite was slow, had 3 bites. My most success came at 7-9 feet of water, when I found the thickest and greenest vegetation. Fish were stacked up like a true summer pattern.

Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationSpent some time working the pads. I've heard that they can hold some good bass. I had two small blow-ups, but they missed. This would be a good technique for the north and south sides of the lake, likely in the early morning (I fished in the eve). Wacky was much more productive in 6-10' water along the weed edges. Casting out an Xzone 6" stick, letting it drop, and lifting a couple times produced many LM. The trick on this lake appears to be patience. They're also very good fighters -- lost one on the jump. Lots of fun!
