Has a good quick outing on the lake the other day. Lots of fish trying to eat Topwater both largemouth and smallmouth. I think this bite is just starting and should do nothing but get better in the coming weeks. Spook and a buzzbait did the heavy lifting. Caught fish all the way from the main lake to the back of the creeks so just cover some water and you will get in an area where you get mutiple bites .

Brush Piles
Still heavily fishing brush piles. Fish as many as you can from 18-30 feet deep. Bites are few and far between right now as the fall transition looms near. Drag a football jig or something similar along the bottom and soak it right next to the pile.
