We fished the Anglers Choice Northern Division out of Little Sturgeon bay 6/24/23. We ran north towards Ephram and Sister bay and found fish on beds anywhere from 6-10 feet of water. Most of the fish were 3-4 pounds on beds. Plenty of cruisers up shallow as well. We weighed in 21.25, which is basically 10 pounds anywhere else. Most bagels were around the 22 pound mark, with 25+ winning it. We caught cruisers on hair jigs and spy baits and use drop shots, Ned rigs, tubes, hair jigs, etc., when we’d find a bed. Due to a lot of pressure on the bed fish you had to alternate baits a lot. I’d like to say the spawn is over, but we found new beds on Saturday that we didn’t find on Friday. If you enjoy bed fishing, northern bays are the pace to be as well as Strawberry island.
