Fished the Kimberling City area from 6pm-midnight. Fished points, bluff ends and brush piles. No moon, light breeze and almost no boat traffic after dark. Bite was very slow!

Fish moved to upper ends of tributaries where run in from a summer storm made the water slightly off color. Fish were concentrated where channel bends were up against the bank. Early morning till about 10:00 buzzbaits or whopper poppers parallel with the bank were triggering explosive strikes from both largemouth and spotted bass. Later in the day trick worms pulled down the gut of the channel at the very upper end of the drain in 3-5 feet of water continued to generate bites. 1 in 10 would be a keeper on the worm and 1 in 3 on the top water. All together I caught about 35 fish in 2 mornings from about 6:30 to 11:30 am from the shell knob area to eagle rock area.
