Took wife and boys out fishing, goal was to bass fish while searching for bluegill beds to bluegill fish. Caught 6 pass, 5 of the 6 were all on Neko rigs with the Riot Baits Baton worm in green pumpkin, with a 1/64 woo nail weight. All the fish were up shallow in 4ft or less. Most of the bass were males guarding fry. Saw a few females still guarding some beds, but they were not interested in biting. The long and also largest bass came on a swimjig in about 3ft of water closer to the opening of the cove. Bluegills were in the laydown brush along the bank, most were getting ready to get on their beds as you could see the beds in clearer water in area's. Some also looked like they had spawned out in some places on the lake. Overall caught about 25-30 bluegills many were small but had 10 good ones!

Went out on Tellico on the south end. Caught 2 fish on a Riot 1.5 square bill with the new Mustad Alpha point treble hooks #6. Those hooks are very sharp. Also caught bluegill on the dame crankbait. The rest of my fish came on a Castaic Atlas Spinnerbait, all but one fish came from rip rap banks....the one outlier came off a dock. I ended up landing 4, lost 4 others at the boat plus the bluegill. Not a bad day.

Got this big guy while bass fishing with my best friend! He pulled me about half a mile, and it took me like 15 to 20 minutes before I could even see what it was. I remember hoping into it thinking it was a snag, then it started swimming, and I remember looking at my friend and saying, "Dude....... this is a big fish!" It turned out to be a massive 28 and a half pound flathead catfish. I caught it on 20-pound power pro braid.
