Smallmouth Bass
TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructurePointsCaught most on the early morning bite between 6am and 9am off rocky transition points. They were fairly active and chasing shad out in the deeper water, 10’-20’ very little wind and sunny. Water visibility was about 3 or 4’. Caught a few with jerk baits but needed more water movement for that to be effective, I think so went to the chatterbait and nailed em.

Crappie
TechniqueCrappie Sniping (Casting/Single Poling)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureBrush PilesBite started out slow early on but as the sun warmed up the water temp it picked up. They were holding tight on brush piles at 16-20’ ow. Very windy and hard to hold on the points but dragging tandem goldenheaded hand ties was the ticket.
