Where the channel would fall off into the river banks. 16 to 20’.. bouncing the Gremlin along, letting it pause for a second. Most of the bites they would just pick the bait up and swim off with it. Wasn’t a sudden bite. It’s sure some hot days to come with the weather. May I just add, all our anglers to be safe on the lakes.

Ended up have a consist bites. Fishing rock ledges at 12’ falling off to 28’ into the deep river cliff ledges. Was a different technique today. Usually the lure is fished downward of the fall. Just not that many bites that way. So decided to fish the lure from the deep to the shallow upward of the ledge. An that way the key. Might not work for everyone. But that style fishing was key on this adventure.

Toledo Bend during Pre-Spawn. This body of water boasts several different ways to catch them during this time. Cranking a fritz side crankbait on secondary points has been a great way for me to catch some nice bass. Also throwing a senko wacky rigged in 6 to 8 ft of water on isolated brush piles works well.
