TechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationSlow bite but you could catch them . Best fish came early on chug bugs but as it got later in the morning you had to resort to the wacky rig and even a carolina rigged lizard. You had to be around hydrilla for the more consistent bite. BE patient as the biote is slow, but you can put together a limit in a span of a few hours.

TechniqueShakey HeadsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationWe caught a lot of smaller fish with the bigger ones coming on a wacky rigged Senko 5" but the bites were far and few in between. We caught fish pretty steady on a shakey head rigged 4" Senko with lighter line. Fished the haygrass in shallower water. The fish were on isolated patches and on the outside edge. Pic is of my daughter who went with me.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureLedgesUsing setup with a 14” leader, dipping the tail chart in color. Nose hooking the roboworm. Fishing deep ledges off of the river. It was a hot afternoon for as temperatures goes. But we manage to produce a great stringer. Here’s the kicker. You’ll never catch me dropshotting vertical. I catch the set up. Not a full cast. Maybe 40’.. Watching it slowly go down with the Garmin living scope. Fishing deeps lowest at 30’. The lure will never far pass 20 to 22’.. the dinks always met the lure coming down. An if it did happen To hit the bottom. Just twitch it slowly. Most anglers fish a drop shot of the bow of the boat. So would asked you to cast it out. An enjoy a learning experience. FISH ON, Tight lines friends.
