Shad
Fished the Bassmaster Open on the James River. Made the run both days to the Chickahominy River and targeted fish in the cypress trees during high tide with a weightless Texas-rigged Yamamoto Senko. Flipped it in between cypress knees and got a lot of bites doing that. During low tide, I moved off the shoreline and focused on the lily pads that were just off of the bank about 40-50 yards or so. Caught fish throwing a Spro Bronzeye Frog and a Z-Man Jackhammer as fish we targeting the shad that had to move out from the shallow flats when the tide went out.
