Caught this 3lb, 8oz largemouth on my favorite frog, the Jackall Kaera! This fish completely inhaled the frog and had little chance of throwing it. She hit on the outside of a small pad "field" that was no larger than a kitchen table. I saw several boats pass right by the small pad field to fish pad fields that were significantly larger. But, I never saw them catch anything. Just goes to prove that it isn't always about size when it comes to the size of the pad field and the frog when catching bass.

Caught this 2lb, 8oz bass as the tide was ripping out of a shallow cut off the main Chickahominy River. She nailed a Z-man Jack Hammer and knocked so much slack in the line I thought I missed her. But, I caught up with her and got her in the boat. Air and water temps were considerably cooler than the previous day as a result of thick cloud cover. As a result, the bite was more aggressive overall, but it was a little more difficult finding the truly big fish.

Practiced for a club tournament in stifling heat (110 heat index), but the fish were biting! Caught this 4lb, 6oz beauty along a seawall that ended at the backend of a dock. She bit a Strike King Rage Bug in Falcon Lake Craw, but I caught many more bass throughout the day on a Z-man Jack Hammer with a Little Dipper trailer. The best bites came on falling tide, but this beauty hit as the tide was rising during the late afternoon, when the air and water temps were the hottest.
