Smallmouth BassTechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationI was at the kayak launch at Beaver Creek with a friend, I launched my drop shot rig to the opposite bank and started twitching it back. First cast, I caught this beautiful fish after a fight that almost snapped my rod (the fish swam under and around the dock), it fought like a 7 pounder, but it ended up being closer to 3.5 pounds. I ended up snapping off the next cast. It's a good thing I was about to leave anyway.

Largemouth BassTechniqueNed RigsSeasonSummerStructureMatted GrassCaught this 2.5-pound largemouth bass when fishing a fry ball next to a dock in patches of matted grass, shot out from under the dock shortly after my Ned Rig hit the water. I was surprised that the coppertreuse was working so well since the water was clear and it was somewhat sunny that day, but it's what the fish wanted that day, and I'm not complaining.

It was the same dock as the other one, but at the other end, the long way. This one was a little bigger than the other one at 3 pounds and fought very well. Caught this one fishing around another fry ball. The Coppertreuse was doing me well that trip, but I ended up snagging on a branch and snapping off after I changed my location.

Dragging a tube in the upper Niagara payed off 💪. I was cracking it in 15 feet of water around some rock and weed transitions.
