Cold front the day before with a massive temp drop had the bass a bit tight lipped. Still has a decent day fishing the weightless senko in pads with rice mixed in. Also had success on docks with the same rig.

Put some time in scanning looking for the thickest clumps with a nice edge and it had fish every time. 1/2 oz rattling at jig with a craw trailer sealed the deal. Love the main line braid to fluoro leader in the clear water. Super fun day.

Fish were in a post spawn funk, I was finding them in or around healthy coontail. My best fish were coming out of the grass around 12-14ft flipping into the thickest patches I could find. Throw your jig in and wiggle it without moving the bait around to much and wait for a good thump.

Shallow sandy docks were much less productive. I skipped a 1/2oz strikeking skipping jig in green pumpkin under and around docks. Also caught some fish throwing a keitech 3.8 swimbait on the inside weed lines on steep breaks.

WalleyeTechniqueTrolling Mid Depth (10-19')SeasonSummerStructureLedgesWalleye League outing on Whitefish - 6pm - 9pm Placed 1st with 10.3 pounds - 6 walleye weighed. Caught total of 11 walleye Trolling crawler harness at 1.1 MPH - on 16 - 22 feet on weed line structure. A bit of red on #6 deep cup blade seem to be the trigger.

The post spawn largemouth were hard to keep up with and weren't offshore yet. Ended up catching a few bigger fish throwing a frog in lilly pads and picking up others under main lake docks with a jig.

Skipping the jig under deep docks and letting it sit for a few beats before lifting the rod tip..they tended to hit after that second fall.

Trolling bite has picked up on the chain. If you can find the balls of bait walleye will be nearby. The issue is dodging the floating weed mats. If you have downriggers, life is easier but if not be prepared to do a lot of resetting the baits. Covering ground is key but so is direction. Our bites seem to come when traveling into the wind.
