Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonWinterStructureFlooded BrushWater was up about 1-2ft high due to recent rains, which also made the water muddy and cooler. Typically, water visibility is 1-2 ft in some areas... this trip was only a couple of inches and had good bit of blown out vegetation. Fish were staying closer structure due to the recent stained water. Decided to move shallower as the sun came up to get into the warming water and found a few decent fish.

They are still in transition areas and most are pale from being deeper water for Winter. Water was stained from a few recent rains and the wind. Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureMatted GrassThe bite was tough being there were a lot of boats on the water the day before for multiple events. Which had some really good fish brought to the scales. The fish we beginning to clear out areas for beds, however, the winds made it tough to see what was going on from the kayak. I had better success fishing transition areas for bass that were still moving up to the shallows. Biggest bass of the day was 4.7lbs.
