TechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationFlipping coontail clumps in 8-12' of water on the south east shore of the lake with a jig was very productive. The weeds were healthy, but sparse as in there were large gaps between the clumps of coontail. Some clumps could get multiple bites. Texas rigged rage bugs also got bites, but the jig was most effective.

TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationEnded up n Waverly after finding other area boat ramps too shallow to launch. Found large amount of scatttered rocks throughout lake using Side VU. Caught several fish on 1/8 ounce Jigs (Berkley Half Head in Black) and 4-inch and 5-inch (trimmed) PowerBait and PB Maxscent The General rigged Ned Style. TechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationFished along the weed lines. Occasionally throwing the sleeper craw right into the submerged grass and popping it out will trigger a bite. For the times that sleeper craw was not working I switched to a more finesse style. Something like a neko or dropshot slowly dragging on the bottom.

TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationSlowly working the ned along the outside weed line, especially if a harder bottom was present. Sometimes just letting it soak for an extended time and line watching for the bite helped. BRB scented bait seemed to produce more over other plastics.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationConsistent bite targeting outside weed edges anywhere from 10-14’ of water. Fishing slow was key, most bites came just simply dead sticking and letting the bait soak. Caught handful of nice 3+ lbers

TechniqueFootball JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationLook for outside weed edges in about 8’ - 9’ of water that are close to deeper water. Had to fish very slow. Pop and drag jig through the weeds. Fish hit the jig once you popped out of weed edge.
