Use a high speed reel to keep up with the bigger Toads, and be ready for hand to hand combat in the thicker stuff. White, chartreuse and bluegill color variety of swim jigs will produce in shallow vegetation and lilipads this time of year. Mid to large size largemouth chase like crazy. PS, they will eat a topwater frog this time of year as well.
