TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationToday I was flipping inside the grass weed edge. I was catching them in and around 10-15 fow. Tie on a flipping hook so it won't get snagged up on weeds. Hop it a couple times and if you don't get bit reel it in and repeat.

TechniqueHard Topwater (Prop)SeasonFallStructureReedsSudden drop in air temperature and relatively warm water temperature puts a fog on the surface of the water, indicating that a topwater bite is potentially on. Fish flat, shallow areas ideally with sand and reeds present. Fishing a steady retrieve prop bait at a relatively slow rate can move fish and yield bites, particularly early in the morning and late into the evening/night. Water temps tend to be around 60 degrees - with dropping air temperature - when this topwater window is open.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationStayed shallow because of the wind (Kayak) caught them in less than 10 feet of water off weed lines. Vision 110 and a long drop shot both worked, but majority came free rigging a bellows stick (5.8" gp) with a owner haymaker 3/0 on a 1/4 oz weight.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationFish were found in 4-10 feet of water along a weedline that headed out to deeper water. Casted out with a slow restive and brief pauses. The fall from the brief pause tended to get bite the most. Largemouth, Pike, and crappie all wanted a meal.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonFallStructurePointsIt was a tough day of fishing with high winds. We focused on the deep weeds in 10 to 12 feet of water. All of our bass were caught on Senkos.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationFound some spots out of the wind and pitched Yamatanuki’s into submerged grass lines and standout patches of veg. Between 6’-15’ deep. Nothing too big but found about a dozen of these between two anglers.

TechniqueDeep Diving Crankbaits (13'+)SeasonSummerStructureMatted GrassWBL is a great fishery that is loaded with bait, particularly small bluegill. I have found the best way to catch LMB in this boyd of water is cranking deep weedlines with a bright Rapala DT 10. A chartreuse crank seems to make your bait stand out better against the "competition" of high concentrations of sunfish. The NE corner of the lake you can find some good, tall, deep milfoil (great for jigs/T rigs) , but I recommend targeting the highest concentrations of bass along the E/SE deep weedlines with cranks.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationOverall it was a slow bite all day, most fish were caught in the morning hours. Tried flipping T-rigs but ended up relying on more finesse to get bites. Every fish I caught came on the drop shot. Dead sticking in and along the weed edges. Morning Dawn was the go to color for bites
