They were on fire once we found them. We brought home some for the frying pan. A mixture of tungsten jigs and small hair jigs tipped with a wax worm worked great!

We fished from 7 to 10ft of water. Small 4mm tungsten jigs pairs with plastics and live bait we the ticket. We were on about 5inchea of ice. Get out there and hook a big one!
