Didn’t crush them today but definitely found some fish. 3 came on the jerk bait and 2 came on the new Crush City Mayor swim bait. Definitely one of my new favorites. Water was super clear so using a good fluorocarbon like the Mastiff was crucial!

Typical day of junk fishing on WW! Ned baits worked great on the few select docks that always seem to have fish this time of year. Also picked up a few fish on cranks and magdrafts. Caught over 20 fish. Including a few nice size walleyes.

Bites were tough to come by today. We had 6 bites including this odd colored largie. Not a clear pattern today but they really hit the megabass hard when then hit.

The largies were munching today! Our best 5 went just under 15 pounds. Most fishing coming off swim jigs. Had to find that good crisp grass to trigger those bites. Be warned you will go through 2-3 pike for every bass-make sure to stock up on whatever bait you want to use those guys will take!

Got the win with just under 15lbs of prespawn largies. Fish were in an obvious spawning bay but only a specific location really produced and was completely driven by wind and bait. We caught all of our weight throwing swimjigs in 2 feet of water. The ZMan Snakehead is a killer choice and makes it easy for skipping under lay downs and docks.

Won my first tournament of the year with over a 16lb bag. Fishing was tough for rest of field but not for my partner and I. We threw jerkbaits and neds all day and found an expansive grass flat that held big prespawn fish. As always with this lake. Finding a way to separate yourself from everyone else was key.

It was a definite grind fishing the first club tournament of the year. Managed to barely put together a limit of 5 keepers by utilizing a texas rig and senko in and around submerged grass in 5 to 8ft of water.

The largies would hitting the jerk bait really well today. Fish came off a variety of spots but focused mainly on submerged vegetation. We had almost 17 pounds for our best five and caught about 20 keepers during the day. The fishing should be heating up as the weather gets warmer!
