Just tossing the popper under overhanging branches and over vegetation. The real key was finding the areas where bluegill and bass were feeding on mayflies. If u find a spot that has insects and u see bluegill throw a popper because there is defiantly bass there even if u don’t see them they will come up and crush the popper.

The only way I could get bit was by dragging a jig around points. Couldn't hop the jig at all or wouldn't get bit. Points with cover on them were best.
