Black and Blue colors have been working the best in these southern Minnesota lakes where the visibility hasn't been the greatest. I also found bass a few feet deep in the weed lines and with a heavier tungsten weight, I was able to punch through the matted grass.

Opener was a success! Although it took a little bit of trash fishing, I was able to find a pattern that proved very successful. Bass were getting ready to spawn but not in beds yet but all of the big ones that I found were in between weed lines and hard rock bottom. An All-Terrain grassmaster jig in black and blue paired with a cut Strike King Rage Craw were the ticket on getting these bass to bite
