Got onto some nice river Smallies in a back eddy. Fish were incredibly fired up and were eating the popper after 1-2 pops, didn't even need to walk it.

Also throw baitfish related such as crawfish patterns, red, shad patterns, and even chartreuse if the water is really muddy.
