The Simcoe caught most of my fish doing that. Started running bank catching fish on a squarebill around stumps, laydowns, and rock. Throwing a jig where I couldn't get the crank bait. Caught a big one casting the squarebill across a main lake point.

Look for big laydowns around steep drops near mouths of bays that lead to spawning areas. Let it sink and do t touch it for 4-8 seconds, then a painfully slow drag. If they are there, they are eating it!
