I was running this through some submerged grass in 3 feet of water. Very slow cranking speed with the occasional pause. On the pause the bass smoked it! I had a 12lb Sunline braid to a 12lb Sunline fluro leader. There are times I go straight braid for swim jigs, but once in a while I’ll add a leader. I always use the Berkley Power Stinger trailers for that epic tail and the scent trail it leaves. These jigs get the job done and are very durable!!! Power

Had a great day of catching some great fish. The picture is the first one of the day. You had to be moving the baits ever so slightly and they hit it when it was sitting still and typically you had to let them hit it once, then pause and they would come back and devour it.

Took third place by fishing long tapering rip rap points in the morning with top water and sub surface baits. Then when the sun came up I switched over to a Carolina rig and moved out deeper onto the points.

Early in the morning we fished up against the bank with the blue herons. The shad were up there and the bass were right with them. Texas rigged Rage Craws and the Ned head with a 4 inch dinger worked great in the shallow water. Once the sun was higher we moved out to the brush piles around the same cove and picked up a few bigger fish.

I was fishing the Jackhammer just above a grass line and then I’d kill it. It would drop into the grass and I’d let it sit for 10 sec then I’d give it a quick snap and that’s when this fish hammered the Firecraw! This is a great time to be fishing red lures! This wiper put up a great fight and It was a blast getting it hooked!

Decided to go out on a Thursday to see what was biting. Kristie worked on getting some using the Dirty Jigs Underspin we have such good luck with. I opted for the kitchen sink. I guess with all the weather fluctuations they were just locked down. The bites were slow and the only thing we caught any fish on, only one keeper, was the Owner's Ultrahead Football shakey head with a Zoom Green Pumpkin Magic Finesse worm. Kristie managed to get one there at the end on her Dirty Jigs 1/2oz football jig in black and blue, with a Yamamoto senko trailer. Just remember, any day on the water is better than a good day at work. Tight lines.

15lbs was good enough for a check this past weekend. Got on a late bite with the Jack Hammer around shallow docks. Only thing we could get a bite on. Staple on every lake we go to.

We targeted unders (>16”) shallow for a tournament this weekend. Cranking points with short timber on it. Also was able to pitch a senko around the timber and catch a few. Had 15-20 keepers with a few slot fish that were too big

Look for ledges that have grass right next to them close to spawning areas. They were staged in the grass edge waiting for things to get right to push up.
