Truman Lake Club Tournament Report Day-After-Grand Adventure Right after our Grand Lake outing, we grabbed my buddy Greg and headed over Truman Lake for a little club tournament. Conditions looked pretty similar to the day before, dirty water up the Osage and Pomme arms, and cleaner water down the Grand arm, but we chose to stick with the dirtier water approach. How the Day Unfolded We worked those spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and crankbaits around main lake and secondary points, and while it wasn’t the cleanest day of fishing, we had our chances. We ended up with four fish for 11.5 pounds total. Lost a couple of good ones in the 4-5 pound range that could’ve changed the game, but hey, that’s fishing! Key Takeaway: Focus on Points The pattern was clear: if you weren’t fishing points, you weren’t getting bit. With the lake drawn down a couple of feet, fish were stacking up around those rock transition areas. We had around 8 or 9 keeper bites and boated four. Not our best day, but it sets us up to come back stronger for the Solo Series Top 100 in a couple weeks. Gear Up and Save If you’re heading to Truman Lake soon, keep it simple: jigs, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and square bills are your go-tos. And remember, you can grab all your tackle at Omnia. Use code LUKE10 to save 10% on everything and get yourself set up right.

Omnia Fishing Report: Stockton Lake Early Spring Rundown Conditions and Lake Overview Last Thursday on Stockton Lake, we were dealing with a bit of a chilly aftermath right after a cold front. Half the lake is currently pretty dirtied up, while the other half still has some cleaner water. It’s a tale of two conditions, which definitely made the fish a bit more scattered and tough to dial in. Tactics and Lures We started off in the cleaner water throwing a Motion Fishing football jig and an Alabama rig. We did pick off a few fish mostly around that two-and-a-half-pound range but nothing huge. We decided to make a long run up the river to the CC area, which looked perfect and had warmer water, yet the bass just weren’t home. We threw spinnerbaits and jigs, tried to get a bite going, but it wasn’t happening. Where We Found the Action Eventually, we headed back mid-lake around the Mutton Creek area. That’s where things started to pick up a bit. We managed to get some fish on the Alabama rig, a jerkbait, and a rock crawler. Still a slow day overall, but you can tell the bite is about to pop off soon. Stockton Lake is on the edge of turning on, and all the lures I mentioned are definitely in play right now. Final Tips If you’re heading down to Stockton Lake anytime soon, definitely consider using code Luke10 in the Omnia app or Website on those baits to save yourself a nice 10%. That way, you’re not only geared up but also saving a bit of cash for the next trip.

Omnia Fishing Report: Table Rock Lake Pre-Spawn Action So here’s the lowdown from Table Rock. Got a little late start, yeah, had to snap some glam shots of the boat since she’s about to hit the market. Finally launched and rigged up, and by 8:30 I made that first cast. Of course, the fish decided to play heartbreaker right out of the gate, missed a couple on the minnow, but hey, that’s fishing. Spent the next chunk of the morning doing a little detective work for those jig fish. We combed through main lake points, secondary points, even those sneaky little points tucked in the back of creeks. Honestly, it was a bit of a ghost town in some spots. But persistence paid off, by the afternoon, we got dialed in and nailed a nice 5 pounder on a Motion Fishing Flash Mob football jig. That got the momentum rolling. Found a few more areas with fish pushing over three pounds and got into a groove. Secondary rocky points seemed to be the ticket for these nice sized bass. Foot By the time the wind picked up, we switched to a Spro Rock Crawler and started pulling them in that 6-10 foot range on rocky banks. Basically, Table Rock’s shaping up for a sweet pre-spawn bite. If you’re heading out, check out the hot baits I mentioned and don’t forget to use code Luke10 to save yourself 10% on all your Omnia Fishing gear.

Caught a bunch of fish up shallow around flooded bushes. Some were on beds, and some were just cruising. The bigger fish seemed to be out deeper on the old shore line.

Stockton was 7’ over full pool on my outing and it was raining off and on. Flipping bite was good in the first half of the cove in the clearer water. Switch to a chatter bait in the back half or dirty water. Caught 10+ quality largemouth. Extremely fun way to catch them! Make sure to flip your bait well into the cover and use heavy enough line to drag them out.

The lake came up a couple feet we just moved into the summer bass brawl tournament. The morning bite was slow but picked up in the afternoon when there was some sun. Threw Swimbaits all day and was lucky enough to wrangle up 16.21lbs and come in second. The fish are getting post spawn and changing by the day. Now is a good time to get out in the lake and do some fishing. There’s offshore fish and plenty of fish up in the bushes to be Swimbaited and flipped 💪

If you havent been fishing Twain this year, you are missing out! The last few Joe Bass Team Trail tournaments have seen several 20+ pound bags being weighed! Overcast skies and cooler than average air temps are seemingly keeping the water temps down. I found 66-68 degree water in the mid-lake area. Most of the lake is DIRTY with less that 3-6" of visibility. Fishing the 3XD near standing timber was the key today. The cooler temps seem to have slowed the move to summer haunts but a few days of fire in the sky could change that. The spinnerbait was a player today and I had a few run with the power worm that I didn't set the hook on. Tight lines!
