Table Rock Lake Fishing Report: February 2026 Early Morning Start at Aunt’s Creek We hit the water at about 7:30 a.m. off the Aunt’s Creek boat ramp. It was a chilly morning, but the fish didn’t seem to mind. We actually started catching fish right around the ramp area pretty quickly. Nothing huge most were in that 2.5 pound range but it was a nice way to kick things off. The surprise was that the fish were still sitting a bit shallower than expected, mostly in that 25-foot depth range. Moving Up the James River Later in the day, we made a run up the James River arm. We didn’t find as many fish up there, but when we did locate a pod, they were fired up and ready to play. The Alabama rig was the star of the show on those main lake and secondary points, especially around brush in the 10 to 20 foot range. We found plenty of fish stacked up on brush piles, even if they weren’t the giants we dream about. Luckily, this was just a scouting trip and not a tournament day, so it was all about figuring out the pattern and having a good time. Tackle Tip & Discount If you’re heading out to Table Rock, definitely bring along an A-rig. And hey, if you need to gear up, check out my Omnia Fishing above and use code LUKE10 for 10% off.

Weather and Conditions We hit the lake on a cold day, with the wind coming out of the north at about 10 to 15 mph. It was a brisk 22 degrees when we launched around noon. The ramp had a thin layer of ice, but we managed to get in just fine. The Bite and Tactics Fish were active right from the start. We were catching plenty of fish in the 2-3 pound range, and after a bit of searching, we found a slightly bigger class of fish in the 3 to 3.25 pound range. The main lure doing the work early on was a jerkbait. We didn’t have to slow down the retrieve much, the fish were surprisingly aggressive given the cold water. Most of them were hanging from the bank out to brush in about 10 feet of water. As the evening rolled in, we switched over to an Alabama rig and found a bunch of fish suspended on points and around brush piles, feeding heavily just before dark. Watching them on the LiveScope, we had a blast seeing them come up and crush the rig. Results and Highlights It was a memorable trip with my buddy Greg. I landed a solid 6-pounder, and he got one just shy of 4 pounds. Altogether, our best five fish would have gone around 20 pounds. If you’re planning to hit Pomme de Terre Lake soon, definitely bring your jerkbaits and Alabama rigs the fish are fired up and feeding!

Table Rock Lake Fishing Report Conditions & Early Observations We hit Table Rock Lake bright and early, aiming to revisit some fish we’d found a couple of weeks back. Those fish had been hanging out on deep bait in about 80 feet of water. This time, though, the situation had changed. When we got to our starting spot, it was pretty clear that a lot of those fish had moved on. We still found a few stragglers down deep, but not nearly the numbers we’d seen before. Adapting to the Fish’s Movement We spent a bit of time chasing those deep bait balls and came up empty, which felt like beating our heads against the wall for a bit. Eventually, we made the call to start looking shallower. Sure enough, those fish had slid out of the deep pockets and were now sitting up on the flats in just about six feet of water over maybe 25 feet of total depth. What Worked on the Water Once the wind started blowing, we got some action going with an Alabama rig. But the real MVP of the day turned out to be a Strike King Baby Z-2 on a Queen Tackle head. We adjusted the weight between 1/8 and 3/8 ounce depending on how deep the fish were holding. We definitely had to cover a lot of water to find them, and it wasn’t a day for just waiting around. There were plenty of followers, so we had to keep changing up head sizes and retrieve speeds to get those fish to commit. Final Takeaway At the end of the day, we managed to land a couple of decent fish and learned a lot from the shifting conditions. It’s a good reminder that keeping an open mind and adapting is key out there. If you’re heading out, just stay flexible and be willing to move around until you find where they’ve gone. Good luck and tight lines!

Stockton Lake Fishing Report: Early 2026 Update Current Conditions & Patterns Over the past couple of weeks, the bite at Stockton Lake has been firing up, especially if you’re a fan of the A-rig. I found fish holding anywhere from about 5 to 20 feet of water, focusing on those rocky hard spots and ledges. The A-rig has been a real winner in those zones, especially when the fish are more actively feeding. Finesse Tactics & Jerkbait Insights If the fish seem a bit finicky and not fully committing to the A-rig, slowing down with a Motion Fishing finesse jig has been the ticket. The Sardis Craw and PB&J colors, paired up with a Zoom Super Chunk trailer, have been producing a bunch of bites. You can also pick off a few fish on a jerkbait like a Megabass Vision 110, though in my opinion the water temps still need to drop a bit more before that jerkbait bite really hits its prime. Key Locations Most of the action is happening around main lake and secondary points. I’ve been finding fish scattered in brush here and there throughout the creeks, but that brush bite has been a little less consistent for me personally. Still, I know a few folks pulling out some hefty bags by working that brush more thoroughly. Final Tips & Savings So if you’re heading out to Stockton, fish the conditions, stay safe on the water, and have fun. And if you want the gear that’s getting it done, check out these hot baits in the report. Plus, you can save 20% when you pick them up through my link!

I kicked off the morning at about 7:30 a.m. under some beautiful skies at Table Rock Lake, and it didn’t take long to get into the fish. I started out with a half ounce Queen Tungsten jighead paired up with a Motion Fishing Motion Minnow, and that combo did not disappoint. The fish were eager, and before I knew it, I was sitting on around 15 pounds of bass just from that first spot. After that initial action, I decided to run further down the lake. I found the mouth of a creek that was absolutely loaded with bait balls, just clouds of shad hanging out. So I switched it up to a three quarter ounce Queen head and put on another Motion Minnow, this time a 4.25 inch size. That move paid off, and I pulled multiple four pounders out of that school. As the day went on, I noticed a pattern, the fish were really keyed in on the shad. When you found the shad, you found the bass. Early in the day, those shad were more at the mouths of creeks, but as the hours went by, they drifted a little farther back in. Any minnow-shaking tactic worked great, and I honestly didn’t need to try any other lures because the fish were holding deep and were happy to hit the Motion Minnows. In summary, if you’re heading out to Table Rock Lake anytime soon, keep an eye on those shad. Find the bait, and you’ll find the fish. Grab any of the hot baits I mentioned, and you should have a solid shot at some good bass action out there. Happy fishing!

The water is getting colder and the bite at Truman has been hit or miss for me based on conditions. Somedays I can catch them on a spinnerbait and crankbait and some of the more still days it’s a Jig bite. I have been finding the fish in the deeper channel banks along the main lake and back in the creeks. The shad are think everywhere I was fishing and I only found certain creeks where the fish were active in them. That being said lots of quality fish being caught when you do get a bite if you find yourself around little fish, make a move. The cold is going to hang around and the fishing is good so wear the proper clothing and go out and enjoy some of my favorite fishing of the year. Omnia also have a deal going right now that for buy the hot bait I have selected in my report you received an additional 20% off, you can’t beat that jack.

Had a super fun Sunday on the Truman, it took a couple hours to get the first good bite on a Frittsside and I broke it off over a rock ( 4 or 5 lber). Then I headed out trying to duplicate the bit and we sure got on them. From the secondary point back we captured a lot of fish. Some were small but we ended up putting together a nice 14lb bag. The Clutch Eco really did the heavy lifting in the afternoon and the crankbait cleaned up down the rocky banks. I kept it simple and covered water and found pods of fish in creeks. I fished the pomme arm area of the lake. Now is a great time to get out and wet a line.

Took a fishing trip with my wife to Pomme De Terre and it was a beautiful fall day with a light breeze. We caught a bunch of topwater fish on a Motion Fishing Buzzbait and she was throwing a Berkley Choppo 110 in black. We probably caught around 15 solid fish over 2lbs. We were finding the fish on flat banks with wind, most of the place we found wads of fish were in small coves or pockets that had shad present. We did most of our fishing down the Lindley Arm of the lake. We covered a lot of water and that’s what it takes to find fish in the fall. We would go 30 min without a bite then catch 5 in 5 minutes. Bottom baits is one thing I could not get to work, it seemed like the fish were looking up and feeding heavy. I left some lure suggestions off the Omnia site yall might try if you’re coming to the lake soon. 👍

Fished a benefit tournament over the weekend and finished 2nd place. Most of the fish I found were on the main bluff walls. The RkCrawler was the main approach but don’t count out the back of creeks, flooded buck brush provided some better sized bass flipping a jig and tossing a spinnerbait. The bite is getting really good so get out as soon as possible.
