Outing was for May 16, 2026. Weather was gorgeous with a strong west wind. High around 80 and clear skies. Water temps from 62 to 66. Panfish and bass were everywhere up shallow, saw lots of bass and panfish on nests. Caught a couple nice ones on a jig and also a small frog. Then also caught a bunch of midsized to small fish. Very nice day!

Casting up shallow with the cover scat next to docks and cover bumping along bottom. Got the majority on the initial fall of the bait. This was my clean up bait being in the back of the boat. First time using this color with a lot of success.

Landed a few largemouths on swim jigs and bladed jigs. They have moved near secondary points anywhere from 50' to 10' depths. Put on bellows shad on a swim jig as trailer and the bass couldn't resist.

It was slow. It was hard to get all bites by hard jerkbait. Soft jerkabait and tube also worked.
