About Omnia

Omnia is a rapidly growing, venture-funded, and data-focused e-commerce company in the fishing tackle industry, a nearly $5B market. We are driven by our passion to organize fishing information and products to provide a unique shopping experience for each customer based on specific bodies of water and time of year. Instead of reviews, our customers file product and technique-related fishing reports on specific lake pages which act as feedback loops to improve the recommended products.

Objectives of this Role

Omnia Fishing is powered by our community. We are seeking a Community Manager that can represent the Omnia brand online and to help encourage anglers to create content and spread the word about our way of doing business.

Important responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with users on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok
  • Participating in discussion forums with helpful contributions
  • Enabling Omnia ambassadors who want to publish content on our platform
  • Coordinating with Omnia’s pro staff to ensure that they are equipped to represent Omnia effectively
  • Recruiting and managing affiliate marketing partners

Required skills

We’re looking for an independent thinker who can operate within an organization that is in high growth mode and that moves quickly. The ideal candidate should have experience managing a community of users that don’t always see eye to eye on everything but who are united around a shared interest nonetheless. Experience representing an e-commerce brand is a plus.

Empathy is a very important element to this role. We need someone who can ensure that our community members know they are an integral part of the Omnia brand, and who can challenge them to take action like filing fishing reports and referring other anglers.

Strong organization and time management skills are essential. We need to be prepared to serve dozens of pro staff members, thousands of customers and legions of fans that consume our content online. Creativity and flexibility will allow us to share the load as a team and to ensure that follow-ups happen on our customer’s timetable, even if that’s not 9-5.

As a key representative of the Omnia Fishing brand, this role requires a deep knowledge of fishing techniques and tactics. An understanding of the business side of the fishing industry is a bonus but not required as long as there is a willingness to learn.
