The Yamamoto Zako Swimbait was designed by former Elite Series Champion Brett Hite, and it’s his bait of choice as a swimbait trailer when he’s fishing the bait he became famous with fishing, the chatterbait. Additionally, Brett wanted to keep the tail action tight, similar to an actual baitfish, so Yamamoto designed the tail with accordion-style cuts and a flanged tail which keeps the action minimal, so as not to interfere with the hunting action of a bladed jig. The result? A dynamite chatterbait or swim jig trailer that has just the right amount of subtle kick to convince even the most pressured bass into committing!
