I caught a few fish fan casting a frog around weed flats or weed points/irregularities. My biggest fish came off of dragging a worm around open holes in the weeds especially if there was rock along deeper edges or points.

Bass were feeding on shad before sunrise. Pitched a jackhammer in open weed pockets and bass would hit them before I could even start reeling. After sunrise they would hit topwater plastics skimmed across the surface along shorelines with tall grass. Also got some to hit a 3/8 green pumpkin swim jig with paddle tail trailer.
