Largemouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSummerStructureHumpsIt was flat calm early, but once the wind picked up that’s when the jerkbait bite became evident and they stacked up near a submerged hump in 5-12’. Before that, I picked up a few scattered fish on slow moving bottom baits (drop shot and jig) in 12-14’

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureBouldersHot bite oh off any rocky shore with bigger boulders. Bass corralling shad schools. Megabass 110 jr +1 we’re killing them. Any color seemed to work. Later when they went down, 5” Yamamoto Senko, especially in green pumpkin worked. Wacky rig or Texas rig worked. 10-15 ft deep. Great fishing right now

Largemouth BassTechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureBouldersOnly found a few in ~12’. The lake has come up 22’ in the last month and there is a lot of boat activity. It is hard to say where the bass are in the spawn but the ones I caught will still fat and did not have bloody tails so assuming still pre-spawn

Largemouth BassTechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructurePointsThe spawn was over, i wasted too much time shallow, finally went out to windy points and did well cranking at 12-15 foot depths

Largemouth BassTechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureBouldersOnly caught 2 but decent size (especially for Bartlett). Did not see any bait or much fish activity at all. The inconsistent weather seems to have scatter the fish a bit.

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureBouldersRain and cold. Temp fell to 57 degrees. Tried my new Krej in blue vapor in 15-10 ft at entrances to coves and main lake points. Nothing on beds. Worked it like a jerkbait mad let it fall for3-5 seconds. Caught several. I’m a fan of the Krej! Also caught a few on the roboworm 6” in morning dawn with a 1/4 oz tungsten weight and size 1 owner hook. 10-15 ft. Once it warms up they should move up on the beds.
