TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureLily PadsI finally got the chance to fish this lake on my kayak! It's about a 1/3 of mile walk from the parking area to the public access. The water is very murky. less than 2 feet of visibility in the summer time. I didn't mark any fish around the island. I moved to shallow waters, and fished around the emergent vegetation and lily pads and found myself a few fish and a nice 18 incher.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureDocksUPDATE: Contrary to what one report says this lake does have access. I know because my brother in law lives on this lake and I fish this lake on almost a monthly basis all year round. If you want to bring your kayak, canoe, or standup you will need to portage from the trail off of Zachary Lane. People do it all the time. It is work but this lake can reward you with some great catches. Caught my pike and largemouth bass PB on this lake. Worked a drop shot slowly near docks. Distance from hook to drop shot weight was about 12” and I was in about 3-4 ft of water.

TechniqueHard Topwater (Popping)SeasonSummerStructureLily PadsFishing was difficult on this day - clear sky, calm wind, and hot temp. The only fish I caught came on a topwater at the edge of lilly pads (but there seemed to be plenty of activity with fish surfacing). I didn't have time for it this day, but I would recommend fishing the island and the milfoil patch on the north side of the lake.

TechniqueBuzzbaitsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationThis lake has zero access. You either need to know a homeowner or fish from shore. If you can get on the lake - there is no large engines allowed but you will have a very fun time if you can get off the shore. Some of the biggest bass in the State are in this lake but they are hard to get too without a boat. If you are going to fish around the available shorelines, topwater applications are your best bets for the bigger bites. I would focus on buzz baits, spooks and frogs and follow up with swim jigs. It is a hard lake to fish considering the homeowners keep anglers at bay. Good luck!
