Braidwood opener Fishing was good in the morning but the bite died later in the day but we were still able to catch some later in the flipping reeds and laydowns

The shallower you can find them set up, the more of a feeding mood they will be in.

Battle the immense amounts of fishing pressure by standing out. Searching out the prime water temps where the large females are still feeding and not ready to commit to their spawning areas can be more than rewarding on the big glides. Many fish can also be caught on jerkbaits in the same areas.

We tried several other jigs that were a little larger, but with all the pressure on the lake at this time, the finesse techniques were the only ones to land the fish in the boat! Caught several bass that weighed in between 3-3.5 LBs
